Dottie the Fine Motor Cow, Push-and-Pull Toy
This product will be released on 11 November 2026
Dottie is a fine motor toy shaped like a cow and made for small hands. Five colourful dots sit in her body and can be pulled out and pushed back in: red, green, orange, blue and pink. Each dot has its own grip shape, and each one stays firmly attached to the cow even when pulled out.
The idea is simple, which is exactly why it works so well with toddlers: grab a dot, pull, push it back in, start again. Small hands practise the pincer grasp and whole-hand pulling, while colours and textures come into play. Three ways to learn in one toy: fine motor skills, the sense of touch and colour recognition.
The five dots sit in openings in the cow's body. Your child pulls one out, turns it over, feels the shape and presses it back into place. Because the dots stay attached, nothing rolls under the sofa and nothing has to be gathered up afterwards.

Pulling and pushing are small experiments for a young child. They notice that their own movement has a visible effect, so they repeat it. That is how they get to know cause and effect while building the hand strength they will later need for cutlery, getting dressed, tying shoelaces, drawing and writing.
The five colours give you a reason to join in: name the dot your child is holding, or ask for the green one.
Recommended for ages 18 months and up, Dottie fits the stage when toddlers want to touch everything, pull it apart and put it back. There is nothing to assemble, so your child can start straight away, alone or with a parent or grandparent alongside. She also works well in playgroups and nurseries, because nothing can go missing. As a gift she suits a second birthday, Christmas, the arrival of a sibling or a small present for young visitors.
Show your child once how a dot comes out and goes back in, then let them try for themselves, even if it takes a few attempts. Holding the cow steady for them keeps both of their hands free for pulling.
Little games follow quickly: pull all five dots out and push them back one by one, or look for the dot in the colour you name. Dottie also combines well with other fine motor toys such as Spike the Fine Motor Hedgehog or the Helping Hands fine motor tool set.
What age is Dottie suitable for? She is recommended for ages 18 months and up, when children reach for small parts on purpose and pull at them with patience.
Can the dots get lost? No. All five dots are firmly attached to the cow and stay on her even when pulled out.
What is included? One toy cow with five colourful dots. No extra accessories are needed.
What does my child practise with the cow? The pincer grasp, whole-hand pulling, the sense of touch and colour recognition. Along the way they experience cause and effect.
Does the cow make a good gift? Yes. She suits a second birthday, Christmas, the birth of a sibling or a small gift for a toddler.
