Fidget poppers are small press toys for fingers that never want to sit still. This set holds 24 colourful poppers, each 4 cm in diameter. Every one of them is a round cap with a domed top, and the emoji face sits on that dome. A finger pushes the dome inwards, then it pops back out again.
Five different emoji faces show feelings, which makes this pop it for children more than a way to keep hands busy. While they play, you can talk about what a facial expression says about a mood. Children pick that up most easily when their hands are already occupied. The packaging is multilingual.

Each popper is a round cap with a domed top, and that dome is the whole game. A finger pushes it inwards, then it pops back out. It keeps hands busy that would otherwise go looking for something to turn and press.
Because the caps fit onto one another, they turn into towers. Children sort them by colour, build as high as they can, count along or line the faces up in a row. Pressing and stacking supports fine motor skills without ever looking like practice. A small fidget toy becomes a building game for the table.
The five emoji faces give the play a second layer. A face in the hand is an easy way into a conversation about moods, for example about which face matches the way someone feels right now.
That is what social-emotional learning is about: children notice that a facial expression shows how somebody feels, in others and in themselves.
