This tea advent calendar carries 24 organic tea pyramids through December. Behind each of the 24 doors sits a single serving of tea, and the selection spans herbal tea, fruit tea, green tea and black tea. If you would rather brew a cup in the run-up to Christmas than eat a piece of chocolate every morning, this is the alternative. All the ingredients come from certified organic cultivation, and the tea comes from Sri Lanka.
Twelve of the blends were developed exclusively for this calendar, so part of the month brings mixtures you will not find a second time on the shelf, while the rest covers the classic directions. Then there is the box itself: a winter cottage design with wintry windows, illustrations and a three dimensional little house shape. That sets it apart from a flat carton. It stands on a sideboard, a kitchen counter or an office desk and counts as decoration before the first door is even open.
The contents are quickly summed up and still varied: 24 tea pyramids spread across four types of tea. Herbal and fruit tea for the evening or in between, green and black tea for the hours when you want a bit more alertness. Together with the twelve exclusive blends, that mixes the familiar with the new.
- 24 organic tea pyramids behind 24 doors
- 12 blends developed exclusively for this calendar
- Herbal tea, fruit tea, green tea and black tea
- All ingredients from certified organic cultivation
- Tea from Sri Lanka
- Winter cottage design box with a little house look
One door a day, one pyramid per cup, and that is the whole routine. Drop the pyramid into a cup or a glass, pour hot water over it, let it steep and you are done.
Because four types of tea are in play, the month turns into a small tasting. You quickly notice which direction suits your mornings and which one you reach for at night, and by 24 December you tend to have a clear favourite.
The wintry windows, the illustrations all around and the three dimensional house shape turn the calendar into a small decorative object. It holds its own between candles and fir branches without any extra styling, and it works just as well in an office tea kitchen.
That also makes it a gift you can hand over with a bit of ceremony: for tea lovers, for anyone who cares about organic ingredients, and as a corporate gift for St Nicholas Day or the start of Advent.
Give the calendar well before 1 December so the first door is opened on the right day. Put it where the kettle already lives, and the daily door becomes a short break rather than a chore.
If you want to compare the blends, jot down your favourites as you go, which is worth doing with twelve exclusive recipes. And when the evening calls for something calmer, reach for the herbal or fruit tea that day rather than the green or black. As a corporate gift it needs little wrapping, since the cottage shape already carries the look.
What is behind the 24 doors? Each door holds one organic tea pyramid, 24 in total. Twelve of the blends were developed exclusively for this calendar.
Which types of tea are included? The selection covers herbal tea, fruit tea, green tea and black tea.
Is the tea really organic? Yes, all ingredients come from certified organic cultivation.
Where does the tea come from? The tea comes from Sri Lanka.
Who is the calendar for? For anyone who enjoys tea, values organic ingredients or wants an alternative to a chocolate advent calendar. It also works as a corporate Christmas gift.
