The Tea Advent Calendar Christmas 2026 is an Advent calendar filled with loose leaf tea for grown-ups who like to drink their way through December. Behind each of the 24 doors sits a different blend as a 10 g sample in a white pouch printed with the name of the tea. One sample makes up to a litre of tea, and the calendar holds 240 g of tea in total.
The selection covers the whole range: two black teas, three flavoured black teas, four green teas, two oolongs, six herbal teas including rooibos and seven fruit teas. Seven of the 24 teas are labelled organic. Outside, the calendar comes in a deep dark green with fine gold-coloured illustrations of citrus slices, star anise, cinnamon sticks, ginger, herb sprigs and a steaming cup of tea. A gold-coloured carry handle sits on top and the words Frohe Weihnachten run along the side.
All 24 teas are printed on the back with a short description, along with brewing instructions, so you always know what is going into the pot.

Black: Assam Bari and Darjeeling Margaret's Hope, joined by the flavoured Weihnachtsüberraschung with marzipan and cinnamon, Wintermärchen® with orange, cinnamon and lulo, and Chai Ginger-Orange. Green: Fancy Sencha and Yuncui, both organic, plus Glückszeit and Vanille-Äpfelchen. Oolong: Drachenfeuer with orange juice pieces and Milky Oolong with a creamy milk note.
Herbal: Ingwer Zitronenverbene, Seelenoase and Stay in Balance, all organic, plus Kräuterenergie®, Rooibos Schneegestöber® with orange and cinnamon, and Winterbeeren with blueberry, cream and cinnamon. Fruit: Christmas Punch, Cranberry & Lemon (organic), Kandierte Mandeln, Kaminzauber with apple, vanilla and cinnamon, Nur für dich, Wintermärchen® fruit blend and Zimt-Pflaume. Some teas are not vegan.
Loose leaves need room to unfold, so a filter insert or a cotton tea strainer is recommended rather than tongs or a tea ball, and warming the pot first.
Black tea: 1 teaspoon per cup, briskly boiling water at 100 °C, 3 to 4 minutes. Green tea: 1 slightly heaped teaspoon, boiled water cooled to about 80 °C, 2 to 3 minutes. Herbal tea: 1 heaped teaspoon, always boiling water, at least 5 minutes. Fruit tea: 1 to 2 heaped teaspoons, always boiling water, at least 8 minutes.
The gold-coloured handle makes the calendar easy to hand over just as it is. Point out the list of teas on the back and the recipient knows what is waiting behind the doors.
For green tea, let the boiled water stand briefly until it reaches around 80 °C. And since one sample makes up to a litre, it is worth brewing a full pot to share.
What is behind the 24 doors? Behind each door is a white pouch with 10 g of loose tea, labelled with the name of the blend.
How much tea does one sample make? A 10 g sample makes up to one litre of tea.
Is a tea strainer included? No. A filter insert or a cotton tea strainer is recommended, neither of which comes with the calendar.
Are all the teas organic and vegan? Seven of the 24 teas are labelled organic. The manufacturer points out that some of the teas are not vegan.
