Garden Advent Calendar 2026 with 24 Organic Seed Varieties

Vegetables make up the largest share of the 24 varieties, joined by culinary herbs and edible flowers that later end up in a salad or on the plate. The seed comes from France or Europe, and the varieties were chosen for flavour, colour, germination and their value for biodiversity. The calendar contains no plastic, and its paper and card come from sustainably managed forests.

You sow wherever you have room: in the garden, on the balcony, on the terrace or on the windowsill. The brand's free app goes along with you from sowing to harvest and covers around 200 plant species with 500 sets of instructions. It gives tips on sowing, planting and care, lets you keep notes on the varieties and lets you follow your own garden.

It suits keen gardeners, balcony growers and anyone with a kitchen garden or a raised bed. Beginners get along with it too, because the app explains the individual steps. And if you are looking for an Advent calendar without chocolate and without cosmetics, this is an alternative. As a present it fits Advent and Christmas, St Nicholas and a Secret Santa exchange.

The purple and pink winter landscape shows floating snowy islands, a house perched on a red tomato, a fir tree, sunflowers, pumpkin vines, a greenhouse and a reindeer sleigh in front of the moon. The AB organic logo sits on the front, next to the Semences Extraordinaires lettering.

Collect the packets in a box through December and everything stays together until the season begins. Then sort them by where they are going: into the garden, or into pots on the balcony, the terrace or the windowsill. Set up the app in December and note down which variety you want to sow where. And because the seed is open-pollinated, let a few plants mature at the end of the season and save your own seed for next year. If the calendar is for a beginner, point out the free app when you hand it over.

What is behind the 24 doors? Each door holds one large-format seed packet, 24 organic seed varieties in total.

Are all the varieties edible? Yes, the flowers too. The mix is 60 % vegetables, 20 % culinary herbs and 20 % edible flowers.

Do I need a garden? No. You can grow the seeds in a garden, on a balcony, on a terrace or on a windowsill.

What does open-pollinated mean? The varieties reproduce true, so you can collect your own seed from the harvest for the next sowing.

Is there help for beginners? The brand's free app accompanies you from sowing to harvest, with around 200 plant species and 500 sets of instructions.
