The Dream Atelier Tea Advent Calendar holds 24 loose teas, three chocolate bars and a bag of sablés. Opened up, it looks like a small tea shop: a shelf with 24 drawers, each box illustrated in its own way, and a cat dozing on the sales counter. Behind every drawer sits a metal tin of loose tea.
It is made for tea drinkers who like discovering new varieties, and for anyone fond of chocolate. Instead of the same house blend 24 times, you get 24 different teas and herbal teas from several French tea houses, plus chocolate by Galler and sablés with raspberry pieces.
Each of the 24 drawers is illustrated separately, so the whole shop scene reveals itself box by box. The cat on the counter supervises the proceedings by dozing with great commitment.

Roi des Forêts by Chris'Teas is a green sencha with apple, roasted almonds, vanilla, cardamom and cinnamon. Neiges Éternelles by Thés de la Pagode is an organic Ceylon black tea with ginger, orange, cinnamon, cardamom and clove. Atelier des Rêves by La Thé Box, which gives the calendar its name, is a black tea with apple crumble, speculoos and praline.
Alongside them: Rooibos Cacao Caramel by J'Adore Le Thé !, the white tea Pavillon Blanc by George Cannon, Golden Chai with cinnamon, lemongrass, ginger, cardamom and clove, Forêt de Noël with pine and blueberry, Balade en Dauphiné with walnut, Noël à Montélimar with nougat pieces and Thé de l'Avent with vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa husks and orange.
Herbal infusions are in the mix too: Tisane Grand Froid with lime blossom, thyme, bay, verbena and poppy petals, Le Blizzard with eucalyptus, mint, sage and lavender, plus Doux Rêves, À La Belle Étoile and Rêve d'Hiver.
Loose tea needs a strainer or a pot with a filter, so pack one alongside if you are giving the calendar away.
