A tea infuser for loose leaf tea with a small cat charm dangling from its chain: that is the whole idea behind this cat tea strainer. The fine mesh ball holds the leaves, the chain runs over the rim of your mug, and the white cat with pink ears sits on the outside while the tea steeps. A loose leaf tea filter, then, that also looks rather good on the table.
Anyone who drinks loose leaf tea knows the annoyance: the infuser slides into the mug, the chain disappears into the hot water and you end up fishing for it with a spoon. Here the infuser hangs neatly from the rim while steeping, and the charm at the far end of the chain stays outside and easy to grab. The piece comes from the autumn/winter 2026 collection, which also includes a tea infuser shaped like a slice of toast.
The infuser is made of two parts joined by a fine chain: the ball-shaped mesh strainer and the cat charm. The cat is white with pink ears, a simple little figure with no fussy detail.

At 2.1 x 2.8 x 6 cm the infuser stays small and handy. It fits in the palm of your hand, slots into the cutlery drawer and needs no storage space of its own.
The manufacturer gives the material as 304 stainless steel. The ball is worked as a mesh, the way tea strainers usually are, and the fine chain links it to the cat charm.
The infuser is made for people who prefer loose leaf tea to bags: the first mug at the office, an afternoon at home, anyone who blends their own. And of course for cat lovers who like something playful perched on the rim.
As a gift it works wherever small and personal is the brief: a birthday, Christmas, a Secret Santa or a little something to bring along when you are invited somewhere. Paired with a packet of loose leaf tea it turns into a neat small present.
Hook the chain over the rim before you pour the water, so the charm sits outside from the start and you do not have to hunt for the chain later. Keep a saucer within reach, so the wet strainer has somewhere to go once the tea has steeped.
If you are shopping for a gift, take a look at the toast-shaped infuser from the same collection: two infusers together make a set for two tea drinkers in one household. And since the piece is only 6 cm tall, it fits into any small gift box and even into an advent calendar.
