No chain, no loose parts

That is the practical difference to classic infusers: no chain to tangle, no counterweight sliding off the rim. Claws over the edge and you are done. To lift it out, you grip the lobster by the claws, which have stayed dry.

All silicone

The lobster is made entirely of silicone — unlike the chain-based infusers it contains no metal parts at all. Silicone copes with boiling water, stays soft enough to open for filling, and passes no flavour of its own into the tea. The packaging measures roughly 10 × 6 × 16 cm.

Does it really hold without a chain? Yes, the claws are shaped to hook over the rim. On very thick rims it is worth a quick check that it sits firmly before you pour.

Does it fit every cup? Normal cups and mugs, yes. Very thick-walled beakers and narrow espresso cups are the exception.

How do I clean it? Empty it, rinse under warm water and let it dry open. Winkee gives no guidance on machine cleaning, so cleaning by hand is the safe option.
