In the cup the ginger is lively and the cinnamon warm, with notes of cherry and red fruit and a lemony, floral finish. The plants are coarsely cut, and that large cut size is clearly visible in the bags. Jour d'Amour is meant as a romantic infusion, and the name appears on the medallion on the lid.
For one cup, pour water at 90 degrees over a bag and let it steep for 6 to 8 minutes. In other words, water that has come off the boil is what you want.
