The blend brings together apple, fennel, ginger, cinnamon, star anise, orange peel, chicory, orange extract, cardamom and clove. All ingredients come from organic farming and the tea is organic certified by Ecocert France. What sits inside each bauble is a spiced herbal blend of the kind you associate with the run-up to Christmas.

The pyramid bags are made of plant fibres and are biodegradable and plastic-free according to the manufacturer. The box carries the wording Tisane de Noël bio, 8 sachets magiques.

Both halves of the bauble show a carousel horse surrounded by golden stars and a striped border. The orange ribbon is already attached, so the bauble can go straight onto a branch.

Each bauble comes in its own recyclable gift box with a window, measuring 14 x 10.6 x 13.5 cm, and there is no outer box around all three. Once the tea has been drunk, the decoration stays: the baubles are reusable and go back on the tree year after year.

Hang the baubles up early in December so the tea stays in view and gets used bag by bag. The three colours look calmer spread across different sides of the tree than grouped together.
