Loved, excited, frustrated, nervous and lonely: the five Feelings Family hand puppets by hand2mind wear their feeling on their face. Children from age 3 slip into the soft puppets, around 25 cm tall, and let them say what they themselves sometimes struggle to put into words. How to play with the puppets
One puppet "tells" how its day went and the children guess the feeling. Or two puppets meet: what does the nervous one say to the excited one? Difficult situations — an argument, a goodbye, a lost cuddly toy — can be acted out with the puppets without the child being the centre of attention.
