Sensory Real Pics is a tactile and visual memory game made of wood. Twelve square cards show real photographs of materials and objects, and twelve cylindrical sensory cups carry the matching surfaces. You play with your eyes and your fingertips: cork, fabric, stones, sponge, bamboo, sand and further textures all want to find the right photo.
The set comes in a cloth bag and works just as well on your own as in a group. It links picture recognition with touch recognition and trains the sorting and naming of surfaces. Cards and cups are made of FSC-certified wood and fabric, certificate C-198620, and the game is CE-certified. It is made in China.
The contents are deliberately compact and built so that nothing goes missing: cards and cups all share the cloth bag that comes with the game. That makes 24 playing pieces in total, plus the bag itself.

Place the twelve cups texture side down on the table and mix them up. Then it is all about feeling: which surface belongs to which photo? Once you are sure, put cup and card together and turn the cup over to check.
Several ways of playing follow from that. Classic memory with flipping and matching, pure touch play with eyes closed, or a vocabulary round in which the textures are named and described. The variants combine freely, one after another or alternating, played alone or in a circle with several people.
The material is designed as an inclusive pedagogical element. It sharpens sensory development and the classification of pieces by tactile recognition, which makes it a good fit for playgroups and schools, for supporting children with functional diversity and for activation programmes with older adults. Because the matching also works without visual input and the cups are clearly distinguishable, players with a visual impairment can take part on equal terms. The game contains small parts, so young children should only play under supervision.
Remove all packaging before the first game. Start with six pairs instead of twelve if the players are still small: the remaining cups stay in the bag and join in later. A cloth used as a blindfold turns the memory game into pure touch play straight away, and describing the surfaces out loud adds vocabulary practice.
Clean cards and cups only with a soft dry cloth and do not immerse them in water. Store the set away from direct sunlight and heat, ideally in the cloth bag, so all 24 pieces stay together.
