Folat Foil Balloon "Birthday Dots" Black – 45 cm: the black-and-white polka-dot foil balloon is the minimalist eye-catcher for any birthday party. At 45 cm diameter (18 inches) large enough to float over the gift table or accent the front door as a bouquet — yet compact for any room. Fill with helium (floats) or air (attach to a stick or ceiling).
Folat is the Dutch party-supplies specialist — "We deliver smiles" for decades. Foil balloons are made of mylar-coated film, hold helium far longer than latex balloons (3–5 days vs. 12 hours typically) and are the smarter choice for photo backdrops and themed parties.
Polka dots have been in every style book since the 50s — works for 1st birthday, Sweet Sixteen, 30, 50 and any number in between. Black-and-white pairs with any accent: gold for elegance, pink for a girl's birthday, red for glamour, pastel for baby showers.
- Shape & size round, 45 cm Ø (18 inch)
- Colour black with white dots
- Print Birthday lettering
- Material mylar-coated film
- Fillable with helium or air
- Helium float time approx. 3–5 days
- Self-sealing valve – no knot needed
- Folat brand – European quality, Dutch manufacturer
- 1 × Folat foil balloon "Birthday Dots" Black, 45 cm
How long does it float with helium?
At room temperature with careful filling, 3–5 days. Less in cold rooms or outdoors – helium contracts in the cold.
How do I inflate it?
Helium ideally at a florist, party shop or with helium tank from a kit. Self-sealing valve – no knot needed. Air inflation works too (a straw helps push past the valve), but it'll sit on the floor.
Can I reinflate it?
Foil balloons are usually single-use. Helium escapes through the foil's micro-pores. With air it can be reused but the valve eventually wears out.
Is it suitable for outdoors?
Yes, with care – not in direct sun (heat can pop it) and not in wind (tangles). Shaded terrace is ideal.
Which age / occasion?
Black-and-white dots are universal – men, women, kids, adults. Timeless classic style.
- Build a bouquet: 3 Folat Birthday-Dots foils + 5 black + 5 white latex balloons = perfect themed bouquet
- Photo backdrop: hang behind the birthday table – polka dots photograph very crisp
- Kids' party: as a welcome balloon at the front door – kids feel celebrated
- Gift tag alternative: use ribbons instead of a card – floats like a note
- Storage before party: store cool & dark, fill with helium just before the event
- Before filling: store dry and cool
- Inflation: don't over-inflate or the valve pops
- After use: release air, fold, store in a plastic bag. Reuse is possible
- Disposal: foil balloons NEVER release outdoors – always dispose in regular waste
