Spiderweb Glow in the Dark is a mega-pack with 500 g of stretchable polyester netting for Halloween decorating. In daylight the web is white, in the dark it glows green. One pack covers around 100 m² of decoration area, enough for an entrance, a living room, a staircase, the garden, a shop window or an entire haunted house.
That quantity suits anyone decorating more than one corner: haunted-house operators, restaurants, bars, schools and clubs, as well as private Halloween fans with plenty of space. The glow comes from a phosphorescent pigment in the fibres that stores light and releases it slowly once the room goes dark. The netting is made in China.
Hold the unpacked web under a bright lamp, in daylight or under a UV blacklight for 5 to 10 minutes. It then glows strongly for 30 to 60 minutes in a pitch-dark room, followed by a fainter glow for several more hours.
When the light fades, a quick burst from a torch brings it back. UV blacklight gives the strongest effect: under it the web appears neon green and blue.
One single large web that you divide up as you decorate: because the polyester stretches up to ten times its size, a little material covers a lot of surface.

Take a piece in both hands and pull it carefully to five or ten times its size, then fix it to walls, furniture, plants or ceilings with tape or push pins. On rough surfaces the web often grips by itself.
For a ghost tour through several rooms, count on roughly 100 g per room. Outdoors the web works in dry weather; rain softens the fibres and wind scatters them, so weigh loose ends down with small stones.
Charge the web shortly before guests arrive: ten minutes under a bright lamp, then dim the room lights. Small black plastic spiders set into the netting make the look more three-dimensional, and UV light with costumes turns it into a photo backdrop. For the table, drape the web over a dark tablecloth.
Keep the web away from candles, incandescent bulbs and open flames, as polyester is flammable; LED string lights stay cold. After Halloween, compress it gently, put it in a plastic bag and store it cool, dry and dark, and it will last three to five seasons. Avoid tugging hard at it, which spreads the pigment unevenly.
How do I attach the spiderweb? Stretch it to five or ten times its size and fix it with tape, push pins or light pressure. On rough surfaces it often holds without any help.
How long does the web glow after charging? It glows strongly for 30 to 60 minutes in a pitch-dark room, then more faintly for several hours. UV blacklight activates the pigment most strongly.
Can I use the web more than once? Yes. Compress it gently, pack it into a plastic bag and store it cool and dry, and it will last three to five Halloween seasons.
