This birthday card is a single A6 postcard with five dachshunds in colourful party hats on the front. They pose above and beside one another, one of them holding a pale blue present, and above the little parade of dogs runs the red handwritten line Let's Party!. Stars and confetti sit between the figures, and a fine pale blue line frames the whole motif.
The card is made for dachshund and dog lovers, and for children and adults who want to send a birthday greeting that raises a smile straight away. Illustrator Hannah Siehoff painted the motif by hand in watercolour, and the card is made in Germany. The back is white and blank apart from a small logo, so the rest of the space belongs to your own words.
The motif is painted by hand in watercolour. The party hats of the five dachshunds are brightly coloured, the present in one dachshund's paws is pale blue, and the words Let's Party! are red and handwritten. They are printed in English and stay that way, whatever language you use for your own message.
Stars and confetti are scattered around the dogs, and the fine pale blue line along the edge works like a small frame, so the whole group fits onto the small A6 front without looking crowded.
This is a postcard rather than a folded card: one sheet, the motif on the front and room for your text on the back. It is printed on high-quality paper of 400 g/m², which gives it a firm, sturdy feel.
- A6 format, 10.5 x 14.8 cm
- Paper of 400 g/m²
- Weight 6 g
- Front: five dachshunds in party hats with the words Let's Party!
- Back white and blank, with only a small logo
- Motif painted by hand in watercolour
- Made in Germany
- Included: 1 postcard
No envelope is included, and the card comes as a single postcard, not as a set.
The card works for the birthday of any dog lover, especially dachshund fans, and just as well for a children's birthday party. Because the back is completely free, you can use it for a plain birthday wish, write it as an invitation or tuck it in with a present.
At 10.5 x 14.8 cm it is the size of a classic picture postcard and lies flat in any gift bag.
As the back carries nothing but a small logo, you decide how to divide the space. If you send it through the post, leave room on the right for the address and the stamp and write your birthday wishes on the left. If you want the whole back for a longer message, put the card into an envelope of your own.
For a children's birthday party you can turn it into an invitation with the date, the time and the address on the back. Tucked in with a present it needs no envelope at all, so the dachshund motif is visible right away.
Is an envelope included? No, the postcard comes on its own. You can post it as it is or add an envelope of your own.
How big is the card? It is in A6 format and measures 10.5 x 14.8 cm.
Can I write my own message? Yes, the back is white and blank, with only a small logo on it.
Is it a folded card? No, it is a single postcard made of one sheet with the motif on the front.
How was the motif made? Illustrator Hannah Siehoff painted it by hand in watercolour, and the card is made in Germany.
Hannahs Firlefanz is the small stationery label of illustrator Hannah Siehoff from Vreden in Germany's Münsterland region. She paints her motifs by hand with brush and watercolour: playful dachshunds, elephants, winter villages and little everyday scenes. They become postcards, notepads and lovingly designed calendars, printed in Germany on high-quality paper to bring small moments of joy into everyday life.
