Green Christmas Napkins with Dachshunds

The background is dark fir green and a fine red line frames the napkin. In the centre the two dachshunds face one another, snout to snout, wearing red Santa hats and red jumpers, with a small fir tree standing between them. Above them sit a red heart and the flowing Merry Christmas script.

Red appears in the hats and jumpers, in the heart and in the border line, while the background stays fir green. With white plates the table stays calm; with red candles or a red ribbon you pick up the red of the print. The napkins also look at home on a natural white or red tablecloth.

The napkins are three-ply, and 33 x 33 cm is the usual size for napkins at dinner and coffee tables. They come in a clear film bag (OPP), which lets you see the motif before you open it.

With 20 napkins in the pack you can cover a festive table of ten guests at two napkins each, or several afternoons of Advent coffee and biscuits. The dachshunds make the place setting friendly and playful without crowding the table.

They work for Christmas dinner, an Advent brunch, December drinks and a baking afternoon with the children. Anyone who owns a dachshund or simply loves dog motifs will enjoy a pack as a small Advent present too.

Lay one napkin under the cutlery or fold it loosely on the plate so the central motif stays visible. For a calm look, combine the napkins with white plates and red candles; for more colour, add fir sprigs and red ribbon.

• Add a second pack if more than ten people are sitting down
• Wrap a pack with a candle or a bag of biscuits as a host gift
• Mix the green napkins with red tableware if you want a bolder table
