Squishies are made to be handled: the little animal belongs in the hand, pressed, released and pressed again. The small format means the squeeze toy stays within reach wherever it goes. In the car, in a waiting room or while listening at the kitchen table, it gives busy hands something to do, and many children barely put a toy like this down.

Because the squishy is only about 7 cm, it slips into a jacket pocket, a pencil case or the side pocket of a rucksack without taking up space. Those big googly eyes also make it easy to spot again when several animals are in play at once.

Recommended for ages 3 and up, the squeeze toy is a classic for children's birthdays where every guest should take something home without the party bag becoming expensive. It also works as a small reward, as a surprise tucked into an advent calendar or as a filler in an Easter basket.

For children who collect squishies, every new animal is one more for the shelf. Since the designs arrive at random, each order adds a surprise, and duplicates are easy to swap with friends at school.

For a birthday group, order one squishy per child plus one or two spares. That way you can still swap if two children end up with the same animal. Combined with stickers, pencils or bubbles, the party bag looks generously filled without costing much.

At home, the squeeze toy is best given a fixed place, for example a small tin or a basket on the desk. There it is ready whenever hands need something to do during reading or listening, and it does not disappear into the toy box. If your child is building a collection, line the animals up on a shelf so it is clear at a glance which designs are still missing.
