The Otter Family advent calendar gives 24 brown kraft paper bags a face each: otters with pointed hats, otters with scarves, otters with bows, all with whiskers, paws and a little belly. The parts are die-cut and attached with the adhesive dots supplied – no scissors, no glue, no ragged edges.
Some of the die-cut pieces are printed white and finished with gold foil, which gives the plain kraft bags a warm shimmer. Once assembled, the otters stand on their own thanks to the folded base – on a shelf, a window sill or lined up along the dining table. If you want an alternative to the loud, brightly coloured children's calendar, this is the quieter route.
- 24 brown kraft paper bags (9 x 20 x 5.5 cm) in 3 designs, 8 of each
- 7 die-cut sheets: 3 in a kraft paper look, 4 printed white with gold foil
- 2 sticker sheets with gold foil, including numbers 1 to 24
- Double-sided adhesive dots for sealing the bags

- Fill it yourself; the folded base lets the bags stand up
Press the die-cut parts out of the sheets with your fingers – the perforation gives way cleanly and no tool is needed. Then place head, hat, paws and belly on the bag. Since fur colour, hat and accessories can be combined freely, no two otters end up looking alike.
Allow a good hour for all 24 bags. It goes fastest if you prepare every head first and glue them in one run – you get into a rhythm and the row turns out more even.
- Fill the bags before sealing and displaying them – an adhesive dot cannot be reopened cleanly afterwards.
- If you want to reuse the bags, close them with a clothes peg instead of the adhesive dot.
- The golden numbers show up best on the kraft paper when placed on the belly rather than the head.
- Flat fillings keep the slim bags upright; very heavy contents make them tip forward.
- The finished otters also work as gift packaging for small presents – not just in December.
Do I have to cut the otters out?
No. All parts are die-cut and can be pressed out by hand.
Are adhesive dots included?
Yes, double-sided adhesive dots for sealing the bags are supplied. No additional glue is needed.
How big are the bags?
9 x 20 x 5.5 cm with a standing base – enough for chocolate, small figures, jewellery or vouchers.
Does the calendar come filled?
No, the bags arrive empty and are filled by you.
Who is it for?
For children and for adults who prefer natural tones to bright colours. Because of the small parts it is not intended for children under three.
