This Happy Holidays Christmas card is a single greetings card in A6 format that brings colour to the festive season instead of the usual fir green. The front shows a hand with pink nail varnish holding a rose coloured cocktail glass with a sprig of rosemary in it, and above that the words HAPPY holidays in pink. The whole background is mustard yellow, and it is this combination of mustard, rose and pink that makes the card stand out next to motifs full of stars and candles.
It is a modern Christmas card for anyone looking for a colourful, contemporary design, and for people who would rather send their holiday greetings with a wink than with solemnity. The wording reaches further than Christmas Day alone: it works for December greetings, for the quiet days between the celebrations and for New Year's Eve. A matching envelope is included, and the card is designed and made in Belgium.
The illustration is flat and graphic: a mustard yellow ground, the hand with its pink nail varnish and the rose coloured cocktail glass with the rosemary sprig. The sprig gives the drink a festive note without turning the picture into a Christmas tree scene. The HAPPY holidays wording sits at the top in pink and mixes capitals with lower case. Because motif and text work with only a few colours, the card looks clean and graphic rather than crowded.
The card comes in A6 format and measures 10.5 x 14.8 cm, the usual size for greetings cards. The envelope supplied with it is cut to match, so there is no need to hunt for one that fits.
- 1 card in A6 format (10.5 x 14.8 cm)
- 1 matching envelope
- Motif: hand with pink nail varnish and a rose coloured cocktail glass with rosemary
- HAPPY holidays wording in pink on a mustard yellow ground
- Single greetings card, not a set
- Made in Belgium
The card fits friends, colleagues and family alike, wherever a relaxed greeting lands better than a formal one. Use it for Christmas greetings in December, for holiday wishes to people who do not mark Christmas in the traditional way, and for New Year's Eve, where a cocktail glass suits the occasion anyway. It also works as a card to go with a present, for example a bottle, some bar kit or an evening out you are giving as a gift.
If you hand the card over together with a present, place it on top so the mustard yellow motif is the first thing your recipient sees. Wrapping paper in rose, pink or natural shades picks up the colours of the card, while red and fir green tend to compete with them.
Because the wording speaks of the holidays in general, you can use the card right through December and still at the turn of the year. Taken along to a New Year's Eve dinner, it makes a good greeting to hand over in person rather than send ahead.
What is included? You get 1 card in A6 format and 1 matching envelope. This is a single greetings card, not a set.
