This 3D greetings card with butterflies is a card in B6 format that turns into a small paper model. The cover shows a green card with a light blue arched window, colourful butterflies inside it and the printed German words ALLES LIEBE underneath. The back is left free for your own message, and between the two sit three craft sheets, printed on both sides.
The idea is simple: you write the card, and the person who receives it folds it into a 3D model, so the card is a greeting and a gift in one. Folded up, it becomes several 3D butterflies in black and white with accents in pink, mint, violet and orange. It is made for anyone who wants to give a stylish card with a small crafting experience.
The craft sheets use a simple fold-and-slot system, so no extra tools are needed. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes and sits at level 2 of 5: easy. Folding instructions in German are included, and the QR code printed on them leads to a video tutorial online. Once folded, the butterflies make an elegant eye-catcher at the window, in a picture frame or on a shelf, instead of disappearing into a drawer.
The card is printed on 240 g premium paper. It feels firmer in the hand, gives clean edges when you fold it and lets the finished model stand more steadily. The paper is FSC certified, the sheets are laser cut and production takes place in Germany.
- Card in B6 format, 12.5 × 17.6 cm closed
- 50 × 17.6 cm when opened out
- Four card sides: cover at the front, space for your message at the back, three craft sheets in between
- 240 g premium paper, FSC certified
- Included: 1 craft greetings card with three craft sheets, 1 envelope, 1 set of folding instructions in German
- Takes about 10 minutes, level 2 of 5: easy
- Produced in Germany
- Not suitable for children under 3 years, contains small parts that could be swallowed (choking hazard)
The card works for everyday moments, as a small token, as an extra alongside a bigger present and for a birthday. The printed words ALLES LIEBE keep the occasion open, so it fits a birthday greeting as well as a thank you. Because the card is also a little craft project, it is a good match for people who enjoy working with their hands. It is not suitable for children under 3 years, as it contains small parts.
Write your message on the back before you slide the card into the envelope that comes with it. Keep the video tutorial from the QR code open if a step is unclear. You can also fold the butterflies yourself and hand over the finished model. With a larger present it works as an extra, and for a birthday it replaces the classic card.
What is included with the card? A craft greetings card with three craft sheets, an envelope and folding instructions. The instructions are in German and carry a QR code to the video tutorial.
How long does the folding take? About 10 minutes, with a difficulty of level 2 of 5: easy.
How big is the card? Closed it measures 12.5 × 17.6 cm in B6 format, and opened out 50 × 17.6 cm.
Do I need any extra tools? No, the simple fold-and-slot system works without any tools.
Is the card suitable for children? Not for children under 3 years, as it contains small parts that could be swallowed.
Berlin-based Faltmeister turns greeting cards into small crafting experiences: each card contains craft sheets from which the recipient folds a 3D model – no scissors or glue needed. Every model is designed by hand and tested several times by paper artist Olli («Ollanski») before it is produced in Germany with precise laser cutting on FSC®-certified paper. A few personal lines become a piece of art that doesn’t end up in a drawer but stays on display.
