Yummies Together Uramaki & Soya Plush Set

The uramaki is a round roll with white rice on the outside, orange salmon on top and a green core – and a face that looks as if it is looking forward to the soy sauce. The bottle is dark brown with a red cap and a white label reading 醬油, the Japanese word for soy sauce. Both figures stand on their own, have little feet and are padded so that they work as hand-huggers as well as decoration on the desk or shelf.

The beige plush bag measures around 21 × 21 centimetres, has a window through which the two peek out, and the «Yummies Together» logo at the top. It is packaging and storage in one: figures in, bag closed, present done. Anyone who does not need the bag uses it as small storage for hair ties, pens or the next Yummies. The bag itself is made of the same soft plush as the figures.

The Together sets live on the idea that some things only make sense as a pair. The uramaki alone is a nice plush toy; with the soy sauce next to it, it becomes a little scene to arrange on the shelf – the bottle slightly tilted, as if about to pour. That also makes the set a present for two: one figure each, and still they belong together.
