The contents can be seen on the product pictures: beaded necklaces in black and pink with heart pendants showing the ghouls, beaded bracelets in light blue and purple, metal hair clips with a heart-and-bat-wing motif, the Monster High crest, a lightning heart and a moon, hair bows in pink and purple, rings, hair ties, a fabric bracelet with stars and further hair accessories. Everything stays in the colour world of Monster High: black, pink, purple and turquoise. The order of the doors remains a secret until they are opened.

The packaging measures 36 × 19 × 7.5 centimetres, is shaped like a coffin and printed with rainbow holography that shimmers in the light. A sleeve with the Monster High logo keeps the box closed. Inside, the lid is decorated with stickers and postcard motifs from the show – a backdrop against which the jewellery can be displayed straight after opening. After Christmas the box makes a jewellery case in the look of the show.

Frankie Stein with her blue-and-white streaks, Draculaura in pink and black, Clawdeen Wolf with her wild mane, Cleo de Nile with golden jewellery and Lagoona Blue with wavy hair – the five main characters of the show pose on the lid as if standing at the school gate of Monster High. The heart pendants on the necklaces pick up the same portraits, the clips the symbols of the school: crest, bat wings, lightning and moon.

A necklace on the first day, later the clip with the crest, then the matching bracelet: with every door the collection grows, and by Christmas a complete set has come together that can be mixed and matched. The black necklace with the pink one, the purple bracelet with the blue clip – everything is colour-coordinated so that it can be worn together. Wear the newest piece every day or save it all for Christmas Eve.

For fans of the show and the dolls who prefer their jewellery black and pink rather than rosy. Necklaces and bracelets are sized for children, the metal hair clips hold well. As an advent calendar without sweets it is a present with something left over in January – the pieces go into the jewellery box instead of the bin. And because nothing inside can spoil, the calendar can stand ready from November.
