The Bramble XL airplane travel bag is a gate check bag for double strollers and twin buggies: an extra-large, water-resistant protective bag made of 600D polyester with padded backpack straps, so you hand your folded stroller over at the gate and get it back clean and undamaged after landing.
Flying with a double stroller is pure logistics: at the gate the buggy has to be packed in seconds, and in the hold it ends up between suitcases, baggage carts and rain on the tarmac. It is made for exactly these moments. It takes twin and double buggies, keeps them clean and dry and, thanks to padded shoulder straps, is easy to carry through any airport.
Heavy-duty 600D polyester, reinforced seams, protective studs on the base and a clip closure with double drawstrings: this bag is built for the rough routine of gate check. After the trip you fold it into the included storage pouch and stow it away until the next journey.
At 120 × 60 × 38 cm the XL version offers considerably more volume than a standard stroller bag. It is designed for side-by-side and tandem double strollers and also fits a large single stroller with a sports seat. As a rule of thumb, the folded stroller should measure around 100 cm high, 65 cm wide and 40 cm deep or less. Measure your model once before buying and you are on the safe side.
- 600D polyester – tear-resistant fabric of the kind used for backpacks and sports bags
- Reinforced seams – hold up even when the fully loaded bag rolls over the baggage belt
- Protective studs on the base – protect the fabric when the bag is set down on rough ground
- Water-resistant and wipe-clean – rain on the apron and dirt in the hold stay outside
- Clip closure with double drawstrings – closes quickly, even with one hand
- Address window – for name and flight number so your stroller can be identified at once
The adjustable shoulder straps are padded with neoprene, so you carry the bag like a backpack and keep both hands free: one for the suitcase, one for your child. Additional handles on the side and front help when lifting the bag off the baggage belt or loading it into the car.
The XL cut leaves air around the folded stroller. Put that space to good use: blankets, nappies, wipes or the buggy's rain cover cushion the stroller and are right at hand when you arrive. You save space in your suitcase and protect frame and wheels at the same time.
The orange straps and handles stand out against the black fabric, so you spot your bag straight away at the gate or on the baggage belt.
A matching storage pouch of around 22 × 33 cm with carry handles is included. The folded XL bag disappears inside and fits into any suitcase compartment or the basket under the stroller.
- Use the stroller right up to boarding and pack it at the gate
- Write your name and flight number on the address window
- Photograph the stroller before handing it over, in case of questions about damage later
- Check with your airline in advance how strollers are handled at gate check
- Place blankets and soft items between frame and bag to absorb knocks
Will my double stroller fit?
The bag measures 120 × 60 × 38 cm and is designed for most side-by-side and tandem models. Measure your folded stroller; around 100 × 65 × 40 cm is the guide value.
Can I use it for a single stroller too?
Yes. Fill the extra space with blankets or nappies, which cushions the stroller even more. For compact buggies the standard size is handier, though.
Does the bag keep rain out?
It is water-resistant and wipe-clean, designed for rain on the apron and dirt in the hold.
How do I carry the bag?
As a backpack using the padded shoulder straps, or by the handles on the side and front.
What is included?
The XL travel bag in black with orange accents and a compact storage pouch with handles.
