The Bramble flight travel bag is a compact gate check bag for buggies and umbrella strollers: a protective bag made of 600D Oxford fabric with a shoulder strap, so you hand your folded buggy over at the gate and get it back scratch-free after landing.
Airlines don't cover damage to gate-checked buggies. Scratched wheels, bent frames, dirty covers — all at your expense. The Bramble Gate Check Bag reliably protects your compact buggy: tough 600D Oxford fabric keeps dirt, dust and scratches at bay.
At 113 × 37 cm, this bag is perfectly sized for foldable buggies and umbrella strollers. Compatible with: Cybex Libelle, Joolz AER+, Bugaboo Butterfly and all compact umbrella strollers.
- Shoulder strap — padded, so you have both hands free for your child
- Drawstring closure — easy to open and close, even one-handed
- Velcro flap — extra security during transport
- PVC ID window — for name and flight number, so your buggy is instantly identifiable
- Includes storage pouch — folds down to just 28 × 22 cm, fits in any suitcase
The 600D Oxford material is tear-resistant, easy to wipe clean and protects your buggy even on wet baggage carousels and during rough handling on the tarmac.
At all major airlines, buggies travel free of charge:
- SWISS — 1 buggy per child free, gate check available
- easyJet — 2 items per child free (stroller + car seat)
- Ryanair — 2 items per child free
But beware: No airline accepts liability for damage! A transport bag is your best protection.
- Use your buggy until boarding — only pack it into the bag at the gate
- Write your name + flight number on the PVC window
- Photograph your buggy before check-in — you'll need proof if there's damage
- The bag also works for storage at home — dust and dirt protection in the garage
Will my buggy fit in the bag?
The bag measures 113 × 37 cm and is designed for compact umbrella strollers like Cybex Libelle, Joolz AER+, Bugaboo Butterfly and similar models. For larger prams or twin strollers, we recommend our XL travel bag (120 × 58 cm).
Is the bag waterproof?
It's water-resistant thanks to the tough 600D Oxford material. Perfectly adequate for rain on the tarmac and wet baggage carousels.
How small does the bag fold?
The included storage pouch measures just 28 × 22 cm — small enough for any suitcase or backpack.
Do airlines allow buggy bags?
Yes, buggies travel free at all major airlines. The bag doesn't count as additional luggage.
What's the difference to the larger version?
This bag (113 × 37 cm) is for compact umbrella strollers. The larger version (120 × 58 cm) also fits full-size prams, carrycots and twin strollers.
