This lick mat for dogs is shaped like half a slice of watermelon and gives your dog something to do during bath time. The red flesh is covered in small nubs with black seeds between them, a green rind runs along the edge and a smiling face sits in the middle. You spread peanut butter, yogurt or another dog-safe spread into the nubs, press the mat onto the wall or the floor and keep both hands free.
The mat belongs to the Kobe dog line and is made of 100% food safe silicone. Six strong suction cups on the back hold it on smooth surfaces. At about 21.6 cm long it fits a bath tub, a shower cubicle or the floor beside your usual grooming spot. Spread a thin layer over the nubs, press the mat onto a smooth surface by its suction cups and check briefly that it holds. In the tub or shower cubicle, stick it to the wall at your dog's height; for brushing, lay it flat on the floor. While your dog licks, you can shampoo, rinse, towel off or comb without holding on the whole time.
