These toast slice erasers are a set of three rubbers that look just like little slices of bread. They bring a bit of breakfast to the desk, although this breakfast is meant for rubbing out mistakes rather than eating. If you collect kawaii erasers or simply like something cheerful in your pencil case, you get three of them at once, packed in a nicely designed bag.
The erasers are aimed at pupils and students and at anyone who loves kawaii stationery. The Japanese word kawaii roughly means cute and describes a playful style that turns everyday things such as pens, notebooks and erasers into small, likeable characters. The bread motif fits that idea well: familiar, ordinary and delivered with a wink.
Inside the bag are three erasers, each shaped like a slice of toast. The packaging comes with a pink tag reading Tasty Bread. That means the set already looks like a small present straight out of the box, so you can pass it on with very little effort.
- Contents: 3 erasers
- Shape: slices of toast
- Material: synthetic rubber
- Dimensions: 3.6 × 2.9 × 3.6 cm
- Packaging: bag with pink tag
- Country of origin: China
The erasers are made of synthetic rubber, a man-made rubber material that is widely used for erasers in stationery. The stated dimensions are 3.6 × 2.9 × 3.6 cm, so these are small erasers measuring just a few centimetres. They stand out on a school desk as a charming detail rather than through their size.
The set was designed in the UK and is made in China. The toast shape is what gives it its character: it turns a useful school essential into a little object that is nice to look at.
For the start of the school year, the toast erasers are a small gesture that makes a new pencil case feel more personal. During advent they work as a filler for one of the doors in an advent calendar, and as a stocking filler or a small gift they are a friendly touch when you visit friends with school-age children. Adults who collect kawaii stationery will enjoy the bread trio too.
A note on safety: the erasers are not suitable for young children. According to the safety warning, there is a choking hazard due to small parts. And even though they look like toast, they are not edible.
Because the set contains three erasers, it is easy to split up: one for the pencil case, one for the desk at home and one as a spare. You could also share them between siblings or friends.
For a back-to-school gift, pair the bag with a pencil or a notebook to make a small bundle. In an advent calendar, you can spread the three slices across different days and create three little surprises instead of one.
How many erasers are in the pack? The bag contains three erasers shaped like slices of toast, packaged with a pink tag.
How big are the toast slice erasers? The stated dimensions are 3.6 × 2.9 × 3.6 cm, so they are small erasers measuring just a few centimetres.
What material are the erasers made of? They are made of synthetic rubber, a man-made rubber material.
Are the erasers suitable for young children? No. Because of the choking hazard from small parts they are not intended for young children, and they are not edible.
Does the set make a good gift? Yes, for example for the start of school, as an advent calendar filler or as a small present. The bag with its tag already looks like a little gift.
