Pocket Ninja finger skill game to build yourself
This product will be released on 12 October 2026
Pocket Ninja is a skill game for your fingers. A small ball made of black frame pieces and colourful pentagon holds turns into a mini course that you climb with your fingers instead of your feet. The maker describes it as a Ninja Warrior for the fingers: small, tricky and always with you.
The ball arrives in the box as 24 separate parts. Putting it together is the first challenge according to the manufacturer, and only then does the real game start with moves, spins, flips and combos. It fits into any pocket: for the desk, the train journey or a quick round during a break.
The set contains everything for the build and the first rounds, from the building plan to the move cards.
- Pocket Ninja ball in separate parts (24 pieces)
- Game instructions and building plan
- 1 course plan
- 12 move cards
- 1 piece of chalk
- Black frame pieces with colourful pentagon holds
- Packaging approx. 9 x 9 x 9 cm, weight 140 g
- Made in Italy, brand from Sarnthein in South Tyrol
First you assemble the ball from the 24 parts. Then you take one of the 12 move cards and try the movement shown on the colourful holds: moves, spins, flips and combos. A course plan is included too.
The level system follows the ninja ranks, from Genin through Chunin and Jonin up to Sensei. You can train on your own or compete against friends, for example in battle mode, in a skill challenge or until only one Last Ninja Standing is left. According to the manufacturer, the game trains dexterity, concentration and fine motor skills.
Pocket Ninja is made for children, teenagers and adults who like skill games. Anyone who knows the Boulderball from the same brand will find a small game for hand luggage here. There is no screen involved, just your fingers on the colourful holds.
As a gift it works for a birthday, for Christmas or as a small something to bring along, and the compact box of around 9 x 9 x 9 cm travels easily. According to the manufacturer, Pocket Ninja received the Good Design Award and is an A' Design Award Winner 2025.
Take your time with the build and lay the 24 parts out in front of you before you start. Game instructions and a building plan come with the set.
When several of you play, agree on a goal first: one particular move card, a rank from Genin to Sensei or a round of Last Ninja Standing. At 140 g the game barely registers in a rucksack, so it is worth packing for train rides and waiting times. As a present it combines well with a larger game from the same brand, such as the Boulderball.

Boulderball is the world's smallest climbing wall — an innovative 3D puzzle ball from South Tyrol. Invented by climbers Dieter Kofler and Joachim Ganthaler from Sarnthein, Italy, you hold the ball in your hand and climb predefined routes with your fingers. Boulderball trains grip strength, coordination and concentration, and has been awarded the European Product Design Award 2022 and the A' Design Award 2024. Made in Italy and featured on the TV show «Die Höhle der Löwen» — a perfect gift for climbing and bouldering enthusiasts.
