The World's Smallest Bouldering Wall — As Seen on Die Höhle der Löwen
The Boulderball is the world's smallest bouldering wall, packed into an 11 cm sphere. Invented by South Tyrolean cousins Dieter Kofler (sports scientist and former professional bobsled athlete) and Joachim Ganthaler, this award-winning product combines real climbing technique with a brain-teasing 3D puzzle.
Featured on Season 15 of "Die Höhle der Löwen" (Germany's Shark Tank, May 2024), the Boulderball has sold over 100,000 units worldwide with an average rating of 4.79/5 stars (487 reviews).
How It Works
First, assemble your Boulderball from 44 individual pieces — a 3D puzzle in itself. Then the real challenge begins: you "climb" with your fingers from hold to hold across the sphere's surface. The golden rule? Only 3 fingers may touch the ball at the same time. The ball floats freely in the air — just like real bouldering, you hold on by the grips alone.
5 Difficulty Levels — Beginner to Pro
- Kids: Start with 4 fingers — perfect for ages 9+
- Level 1–4 (Classic): The 3-finger rule — improve grip by grip
- Level 5+ (Pro): Special moves like DYNO (jump), CRACK (fissure) and SNAKY (snake) — for the truly skilled
The set includes 12 route cards "Famous Mountains", chalk sticks for better grip, and access to the Boulderball app with more routes and challenges.
Made in Italy — South Tyrolean Quality
The Boulderball is injection-moulded in Tione di Trento, Italy. The material? PP GF30 — polypropylene reinforced with 30% glass fibre. The result: extremely durable, long-lasting and comfortable in the hand. At just ~390 g, it fits in any bag.
