The Marvel Sticker and Colouring Set is a sticker and colouring kit with over 1000 stickers, a colouring pad and four felt tips, packed in a box with a carry handle in a retro comic design. Halftone dots, strong colours and speech bubbles bring the heroes of the seventies back. The set is made in Spain.
Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and their opponents are all here. The illustrations come from the classic comic style rather than the films, which gives the set a character of its own. For children it is simply colourful; for adults who read the issues themselves it is the reason they pick the box up at all.
The box has compartments inside for the pad, the pens and the stickers, a plastic handle and a window.
- Colouring pad with Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Spider-Man in four panels on the cover sheet
- 4 felt tips in blue, red, green and yellow, printed with Marvel motifs
- Sticker rolls with the heroes in square frames, to tear off one by one
- Several sticker sheets with Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and further characters
- Sheet of mini stickers, hundreds of small Marvel logos in rows
- Carry box with a handle and a window
- More than 1000 stickers in total
- Measurements according to the supplier: 41.0 x 58.0 x 3.0 cm
- Made in Spain
- Officially licensed Marvel product
Most Marvel articles for children today show stills from the films. This set goes back to the drawing: Hulk against a halftone background, Thor with flowing hair, Captain America in the classic pose.
Colouring here means clear outlines and large areas rather than photorealistic gradients. Younger children manage that too, and the result actually looks like something.
The sheet with hundreds of small logos is the reason for the high count. Dot stickers like these are made for marking exercise books, calendars, labels and reward charts. The larger character stickers are meant for the school bag, the water bottle or the cover of a notebook.
On a roll the stickers sit one behind the other and can be torn off individually without breaking into a whole sheet. That makes them useful advent calendar filling or something to hand out at a birthday party. The motifs repeat in a fixed order, but the supply is hard to exhaust.
Cap the felt tips straight after colouring, otherwise they dry out. Do not stick the stickers on wallpaper or varnished wood, as they only come off with residue there. When travelling, take just one roll and leave the rest at home. Carry the box flat so the compartments do not get muddled.
As a present the box is printed all over and needs hardly any wrapping: a birthday gift, travel entertainment or a small present that lasts longer than a bag of sweets. If you are filling an advent calendar, split the rolls across several doors. Because the box can be carried, it comes along on holiday, into the car or to the grandparents.
How many stickers are included? Over 1000, spread across rolls, character sheets and a sheet of mini logos.
Are pens included? Yes, four felt tips in blue, red, green and yellow, all printed with Marvel motifs.
Which heroes are included? Among others Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America, plus several opponents.
Are the images from the films? No, they are drawings in the classic comic style with halftone dots and strong colours.
Is the box ready to give? Yes, it is printed all over, has a window and a carry handle.
