Gingerbread House Tealight Holders, Set of 2

You get two finished porcelain houses, put together by enjoymedia as a set with one red and one green house. Candles are not included, so you will need standard tealights or votive candles.

• 1 tealight holder in red
• 1 tealight holder in green
• Material: porcelain
• Each 10.5 cm high, 8 cm wide, 6 cm deep
• White snow roof and white decorations
• Cut-out windows and a heart in the gable
• For standard tealights or votive candles, candles not included
• Open back for inserting the candle
• Made in China

The back of each house is open. You slide the tealight in from behind and push it under the gable, where it sits framed by the cut-out windows and the heart. Because the whole rear wall is missing, a long match or a stick lighter reaches the wick without you having to lift the house. Swapping a burnt-out tealight is just as simple: take it out the same way.

Votive candles fit in alongside classic tealights. Position the houses so the open side faces a wall or the centre of the table, and what you see is mainly the decorated front and the glow in the windows.

The set suits anyone who prefers small lights in December to large-scale decoration. On the table beside an Advent wreath, next to a fir branch or in the hallway, the two houses look like a miniature Christmas village. As a host you can place one house at each end of the table and gain two sources of light that stay out of everyone's way.

Because the set comes in two parts, it also gives you options as a gift: keep it together for an Advent visit, or split it when you need two small items for a Secret Santa exchange.

Never leave burning candles unattended, and stand the houses on a level, heat-resistant surface with enough distance from fir branches, paper decorations or curtains.

For a calm look, set both houses side by side on a tray; for more depth, place them at different heights, such as a windowsill and a chest of drawers. As a present, pair the set with a pack of tealights so the light can go on the same evening.

What is included in the set of two? One tealight holder in red and one in green, both in porcelain and shaped like a gingerbread house.

Are candles included? No. The houses are made for standard tealights or votive candles, which you buy separately.

How big are the houses? Each one is 10.5 cm high, 8 cm wide and 6 cm deep, a small light house for a windowsill or table.

How do you insert the candle? The back is open, so you slide the tealight in from behind and stand it in the middle of the house.

Does the set work as a gift? Yes. The red and green pair makes a handy present for an Advent visit or for a Secret Santa exchange.
