Christmas Napkins with Gnome and Fir Tree

The gnome is one of the best-known Christmas figures in Scandinavia, and the motif leans into that storytelling mood: the little fellow sits on his wooden sled with the red can, and the dog keeps him company. Behind them stands the snowy fir tree.

The green is not a deep forest green but a soft grey-green that sits well with natural tones. Together with the white snow area it gives a quiet background, so the red hat catches the eye straight away.

The napkins are square and measure 33 x 33 cm, and the paper is three-ply and FSC-certified. All 20 napkins come in a clear film bag (OPP) that keeps the pack together. They are made in China, and the pack weighs 110 g.

Twenty napkins cover a Christmas dinner with a big group or several Advent afternoons with coffee and biscuits. The motif suits the whole Advent season, so there is no need to save the pack for one single evening.

They are for anyone who likes Scandinavian Christmas decorating and prefers small details on the table to grand gestures. If you have guests several times over December, a pack of 20 is a practical size to keep in the drawer.

In the product photos the napkins sit among walnuts and fir branches, and that look is easy to copy: a few branches running along the centre of the table, nuts scattered between them, and one napkin on each plate. If you want the gnome on show, lay the napkin with the scene facing up and weigh it down with a branch or a nut.

As a small gift to bring along, they look more festive in a little basket together with a bottle of wine or a tin of Christmas baking. And since there are 20 in the pack, some are usually left after Christmas dinner for the next Advent coffee.
