Christmas Gift Box with 5 Cat Baubles

The contents are put together so that you can pass the box on just as it is. The wood wool holds the glass baubles in place and turns the unpacking into a small moment of its own.

• 5 glass Christmas baubles with a cat motif
• Glossy yellow, with a painted black cat face and applied ears
• Hanging fitting with a gold-coloured cap
• Cotton ribbon for hanging
• One seed surprise
• Kraft card gift box with wood wool, about 26.5 × 27.5 × 8 cm
• Weight about 618 g
• Packed by hand in Ibbenbüren, Germany

The baubles are yellow and glossy, with the cat face painted on in black and two applied ears. Each one feels less like a classic tree ornament and more like a small cat sitting between the branches. The gold-coloured cap on the hanging fitting picks up the warm yellow tone and works well with warm white fairy lights.

Five baubles are enough to give a tree a theme without redecorating it from scratch. Used singly, they also look good on an Advent wreath, on a branch in a vase or in a window display.

The gift box is not meant to be thrown away. Slits are punched into the base so that excess water can drain off, which means you can use the box in spring as a seed-growing box, for example for the seed surprise from the set. The wood wool that cushions the baubles inside works afterwards as a fire lighter for a fireplace or barbecue.

As a small something to bring along to an Advent visit, you can leave the box exactly as it is: the punched-out lettering and the wood wool make extra wrapping paper unnecessary. For a Secret Santa round at the office, lift one bauble out when you hand it over, because the cat face with its ears really comes across in the hand.

When decorating, hang the baubles with the ribbon on sturdy branches in the upper part of the tree. Glass and curious pets are not a good combination, so keep the baubles out of reach of cats and dogs.
