This ceramic salt and pepper shaker set is a pair of shakers shaped like cats, from the Beans & Co line. One cat sits upright, the other lies stretched out, and both are spotted in grey and white, so they belong together without being identical. On the table they read less like kitchen accessories and more like two small figurines that happen to have a job to do.
The set is made for cat lovers and for anyone who prefers table decoration with a bit of humour over a plain glass shaker. Each shaker is filled through a rubber bung on the base, and the ceramic is food safe. Both shakers are filled from underneath. A rubber bung sits in the base; pull it out, fill the ceramic body, then push the bung back into the opening to close it again. The closure therefore sits on the bottom, out of sight once the cats are standing on the table.
Which cat holds the salt and which one holds the pepper is up to you when you fill them.
These are small, table-friendly shakers: the height is 6–8 cm, the width 5 cm and the depth 4.5–7 cm. Both sit comfortably in one hand and take up barely more space on the table than an espresso cup.
