A capybara with exactly one job: the Capybrush by OTOTO sits on the edge of the basin, leans back and holds your toothbrush upright. The handle slots between its back and paws, the head points up — which means it no longer lies on the shelf making friends with everything else parked there.
A toothbrush lying flat dries badly and picks up whatever is happening on the shelf. Stood upright, water runs off and the head touches nothing. That is all the Capybrush does — no suction cup, no drilling, no bracket that eventually falls off the tile. You simply put it down.
Moulded in silicone in a warm brown, it measures roughly 7 × 7 × 7.5 cm — about the size of your palm. Silicone grips, shrugs off damp without swelling and rinses clean under the tap. A material that belongs in a bathroom rather than one that merely looks the part.
The world's largest rodent has become something of a mascot in recent years, mostly for being unshakeably calm. That is precisely the posture the Capybrush takes: sit, lean, do not rush. On a bathroom sink at seven in the morning, it turns out to be a remarkably fitting mood.
Small enough for an advent calendar, affordable enough for Secret Santa, and a certainty for anyone who likes capybaras. It also goes down well with children, who find brushing less of a chore when somebody is sitting there waiting. Supplied in a printed hanging box.

Is a toothbrush included? No. What you get is the holder — the brush in the product photos is there for illustration.
Does every toothbrush fit? Manual brushes with a normal handle, yes. Electric toothbrushes have a much thicker body and will not fit.
Does it stay put on a smooth surface? Yes, silicone grips dry glass, ceramic and stone well. On a wet basin rim, still keep it back from the edge.
How do I clean it? Rinse under warm water and let it dry in the open. OTOTO gives no guidance on machine cleaning.
How big is it exactly? Roughly 7 × 7 × 7.5 cm — it sits comfortably in one hand.
