The 3D Crystal Ball Cat is a small mood light made of a clear glass ball and a round wooden base. Inside the ball sits a three dimensional engraving: a cat with one front paw raised, drawn in geometric lines and surrounded by small stars. In daylight it reads as a fine web of lines in the glass; once the LED lights up, the cat stands out clearly.
The ball suits cat lovers who prefer a quiet glow on the bedside table or desk to a bright lamp. The light changes colour: the manufacturer images show it in red, yellow, green, blue and pink. At 9 x 9 x 9.5 cm and 380 g it stays compact, and the orange gift box makes it ready to hand over.
The engraving sits inside the glass, not on the surface. The seated cat is built from straight lines and flat facets, a style close to a wireframe drawing, and small stars are set around the figure.
Because the ball is round, the impression shifts as you walk around it or turn it on its base.
The round wooden base holds the LED that lights the ball from below. Ball and base are two separate parts: the ball rests loosely on the base and can be lifted off. Power runs through a USB connection, and the base has an on and off switch, according to the manufacturer.
- Clear glass ball with a three dimensional engraving inside
- Motif: seated cat with a raised front paw and small stars
- Round wooden base with an LED that lights the ball from below
- Colour changing light, shown in red, yellow, green, blue and pink
- USB power connection and an on and off switch on the base, according to the manufacturer
- Measures 9 x 9 x 9.5 cm, weighs 380 g, according to the manufacturer
- Glass, wood and electronics, according to the manufacturer
With the base the ball measures 9 x 9 x 9.5 cm and weighs 380 g, so it fits on a bedside table, a desk or a shelf. According to the manufacturer it is made of glass, wood and electronics: glass for the engraved ball, wood for the base, electronics for the LED and the switch.
It arrives in an orange gift box with a product photo and the wording 3D Crystal Ball Cat and Colour changing, so nothing needs wrapping.
Place the ball on a level surface so it sits steadily on the base. Since it only rests there, lift it off separately when you move things and carry the two parts apart. A darkened room shows the engraving at its best.
Plan a spot near a USB power source, since the base is supplied by cable. As a present it suits a birthday, Christmas, a housewarming or a small gift for someone who loves cats.
What does the engraving inside the ball show? A seated cat with one front paw raised in geometric lines, surrounded by small stars.
How is the ball powered? Through a USB connection on the base, which also has an on and off switch, according to the manufacturer.
Which colours does the light show? The box states colour changing, and the manufacturer images show red, yellow, green, blue and pink.
How big is the crystal ball? With the base it measures 9 x 9 x 9.5 cm and weighs 380 g, according to the manufacturer.
