The Moominmamma women's socks gift box is a ready-made present made up of two pairs of socks and the box they come in. The box is a dark red cube printed with Moominmamma, her rake and her striped apron, along with the wording Moominmamma's Errands Gift Box. You can pass it on exactly as it arrives, with no extra wrapping paper needed.
One pair is brown, the other burgundy, and both have pink heels and toes. This is an official Moomin licensed product by Nordicbuddies from Finland, made in China. The one size covers EU 36-42, which makes the box a sensible Moomin gift when you do not know the shoe size of the person you are buying for.
The contents are deliberately simple and built around being handed over straight away: two pairs of Moomin socks and the printed box they lie in. There are no other inserts, so you know exactly what you are giving.
- 2 pairs of women's socks, one size EU 36-42
- Colours brown and burgundy, heel and toe in pink
- Material: 60 % cotton, 33 % polyester, 4 % nylon, 2 % elastane, 1 % elastodiene
- Gift box: dark red cube carton with a Moominmamma motif
- Weight including the box 100 g
- Official Moomin licensed product, made in China
The first pair is brown and shows Moominmamma with a watering can, a rake and her red and white striped apron, in the middle of her garden jobs. The second pair is burgundy and keeps her company while she runs her errands.
Pink heels and toes lift the warm colours on both pairs, and the sole carries the Nordic Buddies lettering. Brown and burgundy sit close together on the colour scale, so the two pairs read as variations on the same story.
The box works for Moomin fans who know the characters from the books and films, and just as well for keen gardeners who recognise themselves in Moominmamma's rake and watering can. Since the carton shows her out doing her rounds, the set also makes a friendly nod to a mother or a friend who always keeps everything organised.
As a present it fits birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, a small something to bring along on a visit, or a Secret Santa parcel. The fact that there are two pairs rather than one turns a small token into a complete gift.
The box is already printed, so it needs no extra wrapping paper. Moominmamma with her rake and apron sits right on the carton, which means the packaging tells the story on its own and a short handwritten card is all you need to add.
If you do not know the recipient's shoe size, the one size EU 36-42 is the practical part of the present: there is no need to ask in advance. And because there are two pairs in the box, you can also split them between two people, one pair for a friend and one for her mother if both like the Moomins. For Secret Santa, Mother's Day or a small gift to bring along on a visit, the set stays flexible.
What is in the gift box? Two pairs of women's socks in brown and burgundy, plus the printed dark red cube carton. No other parts are included.
What size are the socks? Both pairs come in one size, EU 36-42.
Do I need to wrap the gift myself? No, the box is already printed and can be handed over as it is.
What are the socks made of? Of 60 % cotton, 33 % polyester, 4 % nylon, 2 % elastane and 1 % elastodiene.
Is this an official Moomin product? Yes, it is an official Moomin licensed product by Nordicbuddies from Finland, made in China.
