Halloween Advent Calendar 13 Nights with Spell Candles

The calendar starts 13 nights before Halloween: open the first door on 19 October and the last one falls on 31 October. The collection grows evening by evening, so everything is ready on Halloween night itself.

The spell candles fit the black star holder, the tealights go into the moon-shaped holder. Place both on a firm, heat-resistant surface, keep them away from curtains and paper decorations, and never leave a flame unattended. This is decor and ritual kit, not a toy for small children.

Obsidian is a dark volcanic glass with a glassy shine, clear quartz a transparent stone. Here they come in shapes that suit the season: a coffin and a crescent moon in obsidian, a star in clear quartz. In witch tradition such stones are set out with coloured candles for rituals around Samhain. We describe them as custom and decoration, not as a remedy.

The four candle colours, white, orange, purple and black, are traditionally linked to different intentions. You can light them one at a time or group them together. The mini broomstick is a small decorative piece that completes the scene on an altar.

Clear a small space before 19 October where the finds can live: a tray or a windowsill is enough. Note down which piece appeared on which evening, and the countdown stays with you as a little record.

After Halloween, the crystals, holders and broomstick go back into the drawstring bag, which keeps the small parts together for next year. As a present the calendar suits an October birthday or works as something to bring to a Halloween party, ideally handed over before the start date.
