This cat spoon rest in porcelain is a small landing place for everything that has to leave your hand mid-recipe. Wooden spoons, ladles and other utensils sit on it instead of leaving drips and stains across the worktop. The well is teardrop-shaped and the slim handle rises slightly towards the back. It is made from porcelain, white beneath a colourful printed illustration.
The artwork shows a drawn tabby cat wearing a brightly flowered headscarf tied into a bow on top. The handle carries the same floral pattern. The drawing comes from the collaboration with the illustrator duo Tipperleyhill: Abi paints the animals, Roz adds the colours and patterns. If you like cats and keep a kitchen with a bit of colour in it, this is a decorative piece that still earns its place every day.
The spoon rest arrives gift-boxed and belongs to the gift range, so you can hand it over without hunting for wrapping paper. The underside carries a collection stamp noting that the design was created in England.
- Porcelain spoon rest with a cat motif
- Dimensions: 21 x 11 x 3.8 cm
- Weight: 280 g, 409 g with packaging
- Colour: white with a colourful illustration
- Heat-resistant
- Dishwasher-safe
- Designed in the United Kingdom
At 21 cm long and 11 cm wide, the well takes a wooden spoon, a ladle or another utensil. The porcelain is heat-resistant, so a spoon can go straight from the pan onto the rest. The hollow catches whatever drips from the spoon and keeps the worktop clean.
Once you are done cooking, the rest can go into the dishwasher. On days without cooking it simply stays beside the hob and works as a small piece of decoration.
It is made for cat lovers, for keen home cooks and for anyone who likes their kitchen playful and colourful. As a present it works for a birthday, a housewarming, Mother's Day, Christmas or as something to bring along when you are invited to dinner.
The collection includes further animal characters such as a duck, a dog, a hare and a deer. From the same range we also stock a mug set that pairs nicely with the cat.
Put the rest where your hand actually goes while cooking: right next to the hob, or between the pan and the chopping board. Then the dripping spoon lands on porcelain by reflex rather than on the worktop.
It is also meant for serving, for example as a place for the ladle when you dish up at the table. As a gift it feels more complete if you pair it with a wooden spoon or a favourite recipe. For something larger, add the mug set from the same collection.
Which utensils fit on the rest? It holds wooden spoons, ladles and other kitchen utensils and protects the worktop from drips and stains.
How big is the spoon rest? It measures 21 x 11 x 3.8 cm and weighs 280 g, so it is roughly as long as an A4 sheet is wide.
Can I put it in the dishwasher? Yes, the rest is dishwasher-safe.
Can a hot spoon sit on it? The porcelain is heat-resistant, so you can set the spoon down straight after stirring.
Does it work as a gift? Yes, it comes gift-boxed and is part of the manufacturer's gift range.
