This cat spoon rest in porcelain is a small landing place for everything that has to leave your hand mid-recipe. Wooden spoons, ladles and other utensils sit on it instead of leaving drips and stains across the worktop. The well is teardrop-shaped and the slim handle rises slightly towards the back. It is made from porcelain, white beneath a colourful printed illustration.
The artwork shows a drawn tabby cat wearing a brightly flowered headscarf tied into a bow on top. The handle carries the same floral pattern. The drawing comes from the collaboration with the illustrator duo Tipperleyhill: Abi paints the animals, Roz adds the colours and patterns. If you like cats and keep a kitchen with a bit of colour in it, this is a decorative piece that still earns its place every day.
According to the manufacturer the spoon rest arrives gift-boxed and belongs to their gift range, so you can hand it over without hunting for wrapping paper. The underside carries a collection stamp noting that the design was created in England.

At 21 cm long and 11 cm wide, the well takes a wooden spoon, a ladle or another utensil. The porcelain is heat-resistant according to the manufacturer, so a spoon can go straight from the pan onto the rest. The hollow catches whatever drips from the spoon and keeps the worktop clean.
Once you are done cooking, the rest can go into the dishwasher according to the manufacturer. On days without cooking it simply stays beside the hob and works as a small piece of decoration.
