Cat Hair Remover – Reusable Bamboo Pet Hair Brush
CHF 14.95
End the era of tape, disposable lint rollers and plastic guilt: the Pikkii Cat Hair Remover is a reusable brush made from sustainable premium bamboo with a grooved metal strip. Just glide it across the sofa, armchair, carpet or jeans — and cat hair that's been clinging to fabric for weeks releases as if by magic. No refills, no waste, usable for life.
At a compact 15 × 13 × 1 cm and just 63 grams, the Cat Hair Remover fits into any handbag, travel toiletry bag or cleaning drawer. Pikkii made it to the Gift of the Year 2023 finals — sustainable pet-care with British design credentials.
How does the bamboo brush work?
The grooved metal edge on the bamboo underside acts like a fine comb profile: as you glide it over fabric fibres, hairs are caught and collected in the groove — instead of being smeared further like a plastic tape roll would do. Pick the hair from your hand or drop it in a bin, and the brush is instantly ready again. The same principle works on upholstery, carpets, clothing, car seat covers, blankets and even pet beds.
Pikkii is a British design studio in Mendlesham known for playful, sustainable lifestyle products — a multi-time Gift of the Year winner.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the Cat Hair Remover
Does it also work on dog hair?
Yes, perfectly. Whether short hair (Beagle, Boxer) or long hair (Golden Retriever, Border Collie) — the metal-strip principle catches it reliably.
How do I clean the brush?
Just remove the hair by hand or drop it in a bin. For heavier soiling, wipe with a damp cloth. Don't submerge in water, not dishwasher-safe.
Will the metal strip scratch delicate fabrics?
No, the metal is grooved, not sharp. We've seen no damage on wool, cashmere, silk blends or fine upholstery — but for very expensive fabrics, test on an inconspicuous spot first.
How long does the brush last?
Several years with normal use. Bamboo is durable and the metal strip barely wears. Compared to yearly new plastic rolls, this is a lifetime investment.
Does it work on car seat covers?
Yes — fabric seats, velour, even microfibre. On leather it isn't really needed (hair comes off easily with a damp cloth), but it won't cause damage.
Suitable as a gift?
Very much so — compact, durable, valuable for every pet owner. Pikkii ships it in plastic-free packaging, underlining the sustainable gift character.
What about the bamboo — treated or untreated?
Pikkii uses sustainably sourced bamboo, lightly sealed for longevity. No toxic lacquers, low-emission.
Can I use it on my dog bed?
Absolutely – dog beds, scratching posts with fabric base, cushions, blankets: the principle works wherever fabric fibres trap pet hair.
How does it compare to a tape roll?
Tape rolls cost money continually (refills) and produce plastic waste. The Cat Hair Remover is a one-off investment, plastic-free, and often removes hair better than tape (which can also smear fine dust into fabric).
Tips & tricks – get the most out of it
- Cleaning routine: once a week, glide systematically across sofa and armchair – stops hair hotspots
- Before a date: brush over trousers and jumper before leaving the house – no give-away tabby hair
- Travel buddy: pack it for hotel beds, rental cars or other people's sofas
- Blanket refresh: brush a favourite blanket before airing – like new in 30 seconds
- Car detailing: clean seats after dog walks – prevents odours from trapped hair
- Pet-sitter gift: with a note "I'll handle the hair" – a small thank-you to the sitter
Care & storage
- Store dry: bamboo dislikes prolonged moisture – avoid humid bathrooms
- Tap clean after use: remove hair into a bin or by hand
- Not dishwasher-safe: for soiling, wipe with a damp cloth
- Optional bamboo oil: once a year, a few drops of bamboo care oil extend the lifespan further
