Stitch Drawstring Gym Bag
This product will be released on 26 September 2026
One bag, two cords, one large Stitch: the Stitch Drawstring Gym Bag is the simplest form of bag there is — and exactly for that reason the one used most often in the school day. Pull it shut, over the shoulders, done.
The print covers the entire front: Stitch sits in the middle looking up with wide eyes, behind him a gradient runs from pink through lilac to blue. The back is kept in a single colour.
- All-over print with Stitch and a gradient in pink, lilac and blue
- Two cords that serve as both the closure and the shoulder straps
- Reinforced bottom corners where the cords are guided through
- Hanging loop at the top for the cloakroom hook
- Light material that folds down small
Details:
- Closure: drawstring, doubling as carry straps
- Light and foldable, fits in any school bag
- Officially licensed Disney product
- One main compartment, no inner pockets
The classic use is the gym lesson: trainers, T-shirt, shorts. Because the bag is so light it gets used for plenty of other things too — swimming kit, a snack for an outing, spare clothes at nursery, beach things in summer. If you travel, fold it up and you have a spare bag for shoes or dirty laundry along the way.
A gym bag does not replace a backpack, but it complements one well. The backpack carries the weight, the bag keeps the bulky and the wet things separate. Many children therefore have both: the backpack on their back, the bag on the hook in the sports hall. Because it takes up almost no space folded, it can also live in the backpack as a reserve without getting in the way.
A drawstring bag has no padding and no fixed shape. Books, a laptop or a pencil case full of sharp pencils do not belong in it — the cords cut into the shoulders under heavy loads, and hard edges press through the fabric. For everything soft and light it is exactly right.
When you pull it shut, both cords run through the same opening at the top and close the bag. That is both the strength and the weakness: it is quick and needs no zip that can break — but the opening is only gathered, not locked. If the bag hangs upside down, small items can slip out. Anyone regularly carrying small things is better off putting them in a pouch inside.
A gym bag is the first bag children can really operate themselves. There is no zip that jams, no buckle that catches and no strap to adjust. One tug on both cords and the bag is closed. A child from nursery age manages that alone — and anything children manage alone gets used far more willingly.
For children from nursery age, for the gym lesson, for the swimming pool and for anyone who likes Stitch. As a small present in between, as an addition to the school backpack or as a gift that does not cost much and still gets used daily.
- Put trainers in a separate bag or plastic bag, then the fabric stays clean.
- Wash at 30 degrees in a laundry bag and let it air dry, no tumble drying.
- Do not iron the print — heat damages the motif.
- Put a name on the inside, plenty of gym bags look alike.
- Wear the cords over both shoulders rather than just one.
How does the bag close?

Are there inner pockets?
