Snoopy I Love You Mug

On the front Snoopy appears in the familiar Peanuts line style, smiling and accompanied by red hearts. Turn the mug around and the back reveals the words I Love You in black, with a red heart standing in for the word love.

While you drink, the back faces outwards, so the message is aimed at whoever is sitting opposite you at the table. The colour scheme stays calm: a white body, a black drawing, red hearts and the pink handle. That lets this I Love You mug sit happily alongside plain tableware as well as a mixed collection of cups.

The mug stands 8.5 cm tall with a diameter of 8.5 cm. The vegan fine china is made without animal ingredients. For daily use, one detail matters most: the mug is dishwasher and microwave safe.

• Vegan fine china
• Capacity of 330 ml
• 8.5 cm tall, 8.5 cm in diameter
• White body with a pink handle
• Dishwasher and microwave safe
• Supplied in a printed gift box

Peanuts fans recognise Snoopy instantly from the linework, which makes this mug a present that needs no explanation. It suits coffee and tea drinkers who use a favourite mug every day, and anyone who likes to make a desk at the office or at home feel a little more personal.

As a gift between partners it carries the message itself, whether for Valentine's Day, an anniversary or no particular reason at all. It works just as well as a birthday present, a small thank you on Mother's Day or a parcel under the Christmas tree. Because it already comes boxed, it also suits spur-of-the-moment occasions.

Since the mug is microwave safe, you can reheat coffee that has gone cold straight in the cup. Afterwards it simply goes into the dishwasher.

• Place it on an open shelf with the back facing forwards so the message stays visible
• Away from the kitchen, use it as a pen pot on a desk
• Give two as a pair so both people have their own mug
