This Teacup is a special edition to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's 70th anniversary on the throne, the so-called Platinum Jubilee.
The intricately hand-drawn design was inspired by the magnificent dress worn by the Queen at her coronation in 1953.
The dress is embroidered with flowers and plants from all the Commonwealth countries, including the Tudor rose (England), thistle (Scotland), leek (Wales), shamrock (Ireland), wattle (Australia), maple leaf (Canada), fern (New Zealand), protea (South Africa), lotus flower (India and Ceylon) and wheat, cotton and jute (Pakistan).
