Nutcracker Christmas Baubles 6-Piece Set in Gift Box

The set is complete as it arrives. The six baubles sit in a matching gift box whose lid carries a nutcracker design of its own. The window lets you see the contents without opening the box, which is handy if you plan to pass the set on exactly as it comes.

• 6 Christmas baubles with nutcracker designs
• 1 gift box with window, nutcracker design on the lid
• Red ribbon hanging loop on every bauble
• Decoration applied using the decoupage technique
• Red, white, green and gold in a traditional festive style
• Material: plastic

Decoupage means printed paper motifs are laid on and worked into the surface. That is exactly how the decoration on these baubles is made: the nutcracker motifs sit as paper artwork on the curve, with red, white, green and gold as the colour palette of the set. The listed material is plastic.

On the tree, spread the six baubles across different heights and sides so the designs stay visible from every angle. Away from the tree they work well on a mantelpiece, in a bowl or among fir sprigs, where the figures can be looked at close up. During Advent the set also stands in as a first touch of decoration before the tree goes up. And if you are invited to Christmas dinner, the box travels well as a small gift: it is already wrapped, needs no explanation and goes straight onto your hosts' tree afterwards.

Hook the red loops over a fork in the branch rather than the very tip, and the designs will keep facing forward. Two or three baubles grouped on one side of the tree read more strongly than six evenly scattered singles, especially if you tie the red and gold together with your other ornaments.

As a present the set needs no further wrapping, a ribbon around the lid is enough, and the window shows what is inside before anything is opened. If you decorate two trees, a big one in the living room and a small one in the kitchen, simply split the set three and three. And if you give someone one piece a year for their ornament collection, six baubles will cover several Christmases.
