The Axolotl LED lamp from the Rainy Days collection turns the popular little water dragon into a glowing room decoration. The axolotl, also known as the Mexican walking fish, sits on a sturdy base and bathes the room in soft, coloured light. On a bedside table, a desk or a shelf it works as a figure by day and as a night light in the evening. The lamp is made in Italy.
Everything is controlled with a single button on the base: it switches between four RGB colours and a calm steady light, and the brightness adjusts to the mood, from bright for playing to dimmed for falling asleep. The built-in rechargeable battery makes the lamp completely wireless, and it charges via the supplied USB-C cable. No power socket is needed nearby, which keeps it flexible in a child's or teenager's room.
Four RGB colours and one calm steady light are available. Press the button on the base to cycle through the colours and light modes until you reach the mood you want. Because the brightness is adjustable, the same lamp gives a vivid colour for playtime and a soft glow in the evening.
The button sits on the base, so it is always in the same place. For a calm night light, choose a dimmed, warm setting; for decorating or playing, a vivid colour. The lamp follows the time of day rather than the other way round.
The lamp has a rechargeable battery and shines without any cable once charged. You can place it freely in the room, on the windowsill, on a shelf or beside the bed, and carry it to another room when you like.
For charging, plug in the supplied USB-C cable. A USB port on a computer or a standard USB power adapter is enough; the adapter itself is not included. Before first use, charge the lamp fully.
At 25 cm long and 12 cm in both width and height, the axolotl fits on a bedside table and still stands out. At around 0.4 kg it sits steadily on its base. The delivery includes the lamp with base and a USB-C charging cable.
