A Christmas tree ornament shaped like an aeroplane, made of glass and designed to hang. The model is glossy red with a white underside, blue windows in yellow frames, silver wings and fine glitter detailing. At the top sits a metal cap with a loop, which is how the ornament goes onto the branch.
At 12.2 cm wide and 11.8 cm deep, this aeroplane takes up more room on the tree than an ordinary bauble. That is exactly what makes it interesting if you build your tree from individual motifs rather than matching sets. A glass aeroplane Christmas ornament says something about the person who hangs it: about travel, airports and the feeling just before take-off.
The ornament is made of glass. The surface is glossy red, the belly of the fuselage is white and the wings are silver. Blue windows with yellow frames run along the body, and glitter details catch the light. The ornament is made in China.

Figural ornaments read differently on a tree than a set of identical baubles. An aeroplane among the branches draws the eye because the shape is immediately clear. The glossy red picks up lamplight, the silver wings add a cooler contrast, and the blue windows give the fuselage structure rather than one flat colour.
If you like a tree built from many small individual pieces, this one brings a clear shape and several colours into the mix. Hung at eye level, the glitter detailing and the yellow window frames can be seen up close.
As a gift, the glass aeroplane suits people whose suitcase is rarely fully put away: frequent flyers, pilots, aviation fans and anyone who collects figural tree ornaments. It works as a present under the tree, as an Advent gift or as a Secret Santa contribution, where a motif that matches the person lands better than something generic.
It also makes a warm farewell present before a longer trip. If you give a new figure every year, a whole collection builds up on the tree over time, and the aeroplane is a good place to start because it needs no explaining.
At 12.2 cm wide and 11.8 cm deep, the aeroplane needs space on the tree. Position it so the wings stand free rather than pressing against neighbouring twigs. Further out on the tree the red shows better than deep inside the branches. Near a string of lights, the silver surfaces and the glitter details reflect the glow.
As a present it lands best with an occasion attached: a farewell before a trip, a small surprise during Advent or a Secret Santa swap. The loop in the metal cap takes a thread or a hook, so you can also show the aeroplane on an Advent arrangement or on the outside of a wrapped parcel.
What is the ornament made of? Glass, with a metal cap and loop at the top for hanging.
How big is the aeroplane? It measures 4.7 cm high, 12.2 cm wide and 11.8 cm deep, so clearly larger than a small bauble.
What colours does it have? Glossy red with a white belly, blue windows in yellow frames, silver wings and glitter detailing.
Is a hanging string included? The metal cap at the top has a loop, so a thread or hook can be threaded through it.
Who is this gift suitable for? Travel fans, frequent flyers, pilots and anyone who collects figural Christmas tree ornaments.
