An advent calendar for dogs turns the weeks before Christmas into a daily treat for your four-legged friend. Behind each of the 24 doors wait 4 to 5 winter cookies, little half-moons with a gentle hint of cinnamon. They measure around 3 cm and are 100 % plant based; the packaging carries the V-Label Vegan and the Plant Based Certified mark. In total the calendar holds 500 g of treats.
The limited 2026 edition carries the MERRY WOOFMAS - to every kind design: an illustration of dogs and other animals with the numbered doors spread across the scene. Behind it stands VEGDOG, a Munich company that develops plant based dog food and snacks together with veterinary specialists. The calendar is made in Germany and works as a vegan dog advent calendar without animal ingredients.
The calendar is a complementary food for adult dogs, not a toy and not a complete feed. At around 3 cm the half-moons are easy to give from your hand.

Composition: Rye, oats (processed), oat flakes, sunflower oil, brewer's yeast (dried), orange peel 2% (dried), cinnamon powder, chamomile (dried). Antioxidants are included as technological additives. The analytical constituents are 11 % crude protein, 7.5 % crude fat, 6.5 % crude fibre and 3 % crude ash, with an energy content of 331 kcal per 100 g.
The feeding table on the packaging gives amounts per 24 hours by body weight, from 2 cookies at 5 kg up to 9 cookies at 35 kg. Snacks should only cover part of the daily energy requirement, so adjust the rest of the ration accordingly. The winter cookies are suitable for adult dogs from 12 months.
VEGDOG has been developing plant based dog nutrition together with vets for more than ten years, on a scientific basis; its seal bar names Vet Approved, Science Based and Made in EU. Nutrient values are analysed in the laboratory after production, covering protein quality, amino acids, taurine, calcium and phosphorus. One percent of turnover goes to animal welfare and the VEGDOG Rescues, farm animals that have found a safe home.
Store the calendar in a cool, dry and dark place. Count the cookies as part of the daily ration and reduce the regular food accordingly, especially with small dogs that receive only 2 to 3 cookies. As a gift for dog lovers you can hand the calendar over before 1 December, so everything is ready for the first door.

How many cookies can my dog have per day? The packaging suggests 2 cookies per 24 hours at 5 kg body weight, 3 at 10 kg, 5 at 15 kg, 7 at 25 kg and 9 at 35 kg.

VEGDOG is a young company from Munich that has been developing plant-based dog food and dog treats since 2015. The idea came about when the founder's dog developed a food allergy and she began cooking plant-based recipes for him herself. Today the products are developed together with specialist vets – from wet and dry food and supplements to treats for training, dental care and rewards in between. The range is V-Label certified.
