These unicorn string lights carry eight unicorn-shaped lamps on a white wire, and the incandescent bulbs glow white as well. The string is made for indoor use, so picture a child's room, a bedroom, a living room wall, the front edge of a shelf or the frame of a mirror. Eight little creatures are enough to turn one corner of a room into a favourite spot.
The string works especially well as a night light for children who would rather not fall asleep in the dark. Grown-ups enjoy it too: after a busy working day, the sight of these cute mythical creatures is simply relaxing. Because the lights run on batteries, you are not tied to a socket and can hang the string wherever the glow is wanted.
Eight unicorns, a white wire, white light: that is all it takes for a friendly mood. The key details at a glance:
- String of 8 unicorn-shaped lamps
- Overall length 228 cm
- Lit length roughly 168 cm
- Wire colour white
- White glowing incandescent bulbs
- Requires 3 x AAA batteries, not included
- Suitable for indoor use only
- Weight around 50 g
The string measures 228 cm in total, of which around 168 cm is lit. The difference between the two figures shows that part of the wire stays free of lamps. 228 cm is enough to span the width of a child's bed, to run along a shelf edge or to drape an arc above a window. If you have a wall in mind, measure the run first and you will know how much slack is left for draping.
At around 50 g the string is light, so trying it in a second spot costs no effort. Because it runs on batteries, your choice of place does not depend on the nearest socket.
These string lights are intended for indoor use only. Plan them for a child's room, a bedroom, the living room, a hallway or a home workspace. They are not made for a balcony, a terrace or the garden.
Children who love unicorns get a night light that looks like a story rather than a gadget. Adults hang it in the bedroom or above a desk, because looking at the eight creatures brings a quiet moment into the evening.
As a present it fits a birthday, Christmas, a move into a first room of one's own, or a small surprise for someone with a soft spot for unicorns. Its low weight makes it easy to wrap and send.
Have three AAA batteries ready before you give the string away, since they are not included. That way the lights can come on straight after unwrapping.
Before you hang it up, decide what path the 228 cm should take: once across a headboard, along a short shelf edge, or in loose arcs on the wall. At around 50 g, you can compare two versions before settling on one.
