Stranger Things Deluxe Advent Calendar in Retro TV Box

One single gift appears each day, 24 items in total: a necklace, a keyring, an acrylic figure, a shoe bag, a shopper bag, a compass, a pair of socks, erasers, a foldable pen holder, a metal straw with accessory, a friendship bracelet, a mini squishy, a ballpoint pen with badge, an acrylic bookmark, a wooden Christmas ornament, a squishy notepad, a pin, a magnet, 10 die-cut stickers, a second keyring, a notepad, a lenticular sticker, a phone charm and a microfibre cloth.

That mix keeps the days different from one another: one morning a small piece of jewellery, the next something for the desk, the gym bag or the Christmas tree. All the designs pick up motifs from the series, so the pieces work together as a small fan collection.

The calendar comes in a box shaped like a small 1980s television set. It measures 32.8 x 24 x 7.3 cm and weighs about 1.3 kg. The closure is magnetic and the cover is a lenticular image of Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Eleven and Will: depending on your viewing angle, the characters appear to move.

• Magnetic closure
• Box size: 32.8 x 24 x 7.3 cm

The calendar is aimed at teenagers and adults who watch the series, and at anyone who enjoys eighties design. As a present it works best handed over at the end of November, so the first door opens on 1 December and there is something new every morning. It also makes a good gift to bring to a Christmas party among fellow fans.

Place the television where you change your viewing angle as you walk past: that is when the lenticular cover shows its effect best. The wooden Christmas ornament belongs on the tree, the pin and the magnet suit a jacket, a bag or the fridge door, and the 10 die-cut stickers end up on a laptop, a diary or a water bottle.

Once every door has been opened, the box does not need to go: the television stays in the room as a keepsake and a piece of decoration. Worth mentioning when you hand the calendar over.
