Spidey Advent Calendar with Colouring and Writing Set

The contents are all about colouring and writing. Here is the full list, including the size and weight of the box:

• 24 doors, printed with the numbers 1 to 24
• 6 markers and 6 colouring pencils
• 3 highlighters, 1 HB pencil and 1 ballpoint pen
• 2 erasers and 1 sharpener
• 1 ruler
• 16 stickers
• 1 colouring book with 10 different pictures and 10 blank pages
• Printed cardboard box showing Spidey, Ghost-Spider and Spin
• Box measures 38 × 27 cm
• Weight approx. 220 g

At 38 × 27 cm the box takes up about as much room as a placemat on a chest of drawers or a shelf. At around 220 g it is light enough to move without any fuss.

From 1 December one door is opened each day until the last one on the 24th. Each door holds a different surprise from the colouring and writing set.

The colouring book gives the month a direction, with ten different pictures ready to colour in and ten blank pages for your child's own drawings. The ballpoint pen, HB pencil and ruler suit children who would rather write than colour.

The calendar is aimed at preschoolers and children in the early school years who know Spidey and his amazing friends from the Disney Junior series. It is not meant for toddlers. Marvel fans spot Spidey, Ghost-Spider and Spin on the front of the box before the first door is open.

Advent is the obvious occasion, along with Christmas and St Nicholas Day if you want to hand it over a little earlier. It works as the main December present or as a small gift for a godchild.

Buy the calendar in good time before 1 December so the first door can be opened on the right day. With several children in the house, one calendar each keeps the daily door from turning into a debate.

Put the box where your child walks past anyway in the morning, next to the breakfast table for example. If you are giving it as a present, a ribbon around the box is enough, because the artwork on the front says the rest.
