How it works — in three steps

1. Load the ice: drop regular household ice cubes into the top hopper (respect the maximum fill line).
2. Crank it: turn the handle — the ice passes between the stainless steel blades and is crushed into fine snow or coarser crushed ice.
3. Serve: fill the cup with ice, pour 4 to 6 cl of Slush Puppie syrup on top, stir briefly with the straw and enjoy immediately.

Snow Cone, Slushy, Crushed Ice — what is the difference?

• Snow Cone: coarsely crushed ice with a loose texture, classically served in a cone-shaped paper cup and topped with syrup — the syrup settles at the bottom, the ice stays loose on top.
• Slushy: very finely crushed ice that melds with the syrup into a slushy, sippable consistency — the original Slush Puppie classic.
• Crushed ice for cocktails: medium-fine, perfect as the base for Mojitos, Caipirinhas, Frozen Margaritas or Daiquiris.

Tips & Tricks

• Use fresh ice cubes whenever possible — they are crystal-clear and produce the best result. Older cubes go soft and can block the blades.
• For intense colour and flavour, count on at least 4 cl of syrup per medium cup. For children, use less syrup and top up with chilled lemonade.
• Crushed ice is also great for summer cocktails — Frozen Margarita, Mojito, Caipirinha or Frosé.
• Got leftover ice? Blend it briefly with concentrated fruit juice (elderflower, raspberry, mango) for a quick home-made sorbet.
• Place a small napkin underneath the cup when serving — slushies tend to drip when you sip them.

Which cups and syrups go with it?
The original Slush Puppie cups (12 oz / 22 oz), spoon straws and classic syrup flavours (Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, Cherry, Lemon-Lime, Cola) are all available in our shop under the Slush Puppie brand.

How do I clean the machine?
The ice chamber, blades and cup are removable and can be cleaned by hand with warm water and a mild detergent. Not dishwasher-safe. Dry thoroughly after rinsing so the stainless steel blades don't rust.

Is it child-safe?
The blades are housed inside the body and not accessible from the outside. Still, we recommend that adults operate the crank or supervise children — turning the handle does take a bit of effort.

How many slushies do I get per load?
One litre of ice gives you 4 to 5 portions depending on cup size. For a birthday party with 6 children one load just about does it — and refilling takes only seconds.
